A weekend to discover the traditional sweets of the Biella area!

Torcetti, canestrelli, meliga pasta and many other flavors will accompany you on your discovery of the area!

The tour will begin with a guided tour of the Sanctuary of Oropa, a UNESCO heritage site and, after stopping at the suggestive Burcina Park, it will take you to Biella where, discovering the city, the tastings of the confectionery excellences of the area will continue.

You will also discover the Piazzo district, where a particular story about the confectionery tradition of toretto will also await you!!

Finally, the tour will end at Ricetto di Candelo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, built in the 14th century. A weekend of taste and beauty!!!

PROGRAMME

2 days/1 night

 1st DAY

Arrival at the Sanctuary of Oropa. Before the guided tour, a stop at a historic Sanctuary Café will lead you to a first taste experience, with a dry pastry tasting.

The guide will then take you to visit the Sanctuary, a UNESCO heritage site, dedicated to the Black Madonna, where you will also visit the Treasures Museum and the Royal Apartments of the Savoy.

At the end, transfer to Pollone for lunch in a restaurant.

In the afternoon, the guide will take you on a suggestive walk to the Burcina Park, a botanical reserve that will surprise you with its wonders in every season of the year!

The itinerary will then continue with the arrival in Biella and a stop in a historic café in the centre, where you can taste the typical Biella canestrelli.

In the late afternoon, transfer to the hotel and dinner in a restaurant in the centre.

2nd DAY

Breakfast will be taken at a pastry shop in the centre, where you can enjoy a selection of typical local artisan biscuits.

Afterwards, the guide will accompany you on a visit to Biella Piano, where you can admire the Cathedral, dedicated to Santo Stefano, and the Baptistery of San Giovanni, symbol of the city.

Thanks to the traditional funicular, you can go up to the Biella Piazzo district, the historic village of the city, characterized by cobbled streets, large porticoes and buildings of high historical and cultural interest. Lunch in a characteristic restaurant where, at the end, the history of the traditional Biella torcetto will be illustrated to you!

In the afternoon, transfer to Ricetto di Candelo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, for a guided tour of the characteristic streets.

Departure for return.
