A short tour to discover some of the most fascinating castles in the Biella area!
The itinerary will cross the lands of the Baraggia area of Biella, to reach the ancient village of Piazzo di Biella. Between museums, tastings, history and curiosities, a short trip surrounded by beauty!
PROGRAMME
2 days/1 night
DAY 1
Arrival in Castellengo. The day begins with a visit to the Castle, guided by the owner, to discover the history and secrets of the historic building in the heart of the Baraggia area of Biella.
Light lunch in Baraggia, with typical local dishes.
In the early afternoon, transfer to Candelo for a guided tour of the 14th century Ricetto, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, magnificently preserved.
The itinerary will then continue to Vigliano Biellese, for a guided visit to the Montecavallo Castle, in whose park there is a particularly prestigious winery. The visit will end with a tasting of local wines.
Afterwards, transfer to the farmhouse for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2
The morning will begin with the transfer to Biella where, passing through the center, you will go up to the historic Piazzo district, for a suggestive walk along the cobbled streets and historic buildings, with panoramic observation points. In this neighborhood, a guided tour will take place at Palazzo Lamarmora, held by the owner, which will tell the wonders of the palace and the history of the Alberti-Lamarmora family.
At the end, stop for lunch in a restaurant.
In the afternoon, transfer to Verrone for a guided tour of the curious Falseum museum, dedicated to forgery and deception, located inside the local castle.
Departure for return.
