A weekend of relaxation, history and nature!

The tour will start from Lake Viverone, the largest lake basin in the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea, overlooked from the top of a hill by the wonderful Masino Castle, which belonged to the Valperga family.

There will be a special tasting of typical local wines!

PROGRAMME

2 days/1 night

1ST DAY

Arrival in Viverone. The day begins with a panoramic boat tour, to discover the rich flora and fauna of the lake. The route will include a visit to an ancient pile-dwelling village dating back to the Bronze Age, with a view of the magnificent morainic hill of Serra and its vineyards.

Light lunch at a lakeside restaurant.

Early afternoon at liberty to enjoy nature, the sun and the beauty of the lake.

To follow, a tasting experience and visit to a cellar with a lake view, to savor the excellent wines of the area. Don't miss a walk in the vineyard!

Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel on the lake.

2ND DAY

The morning will begin with the transfer to the Castle and Park of Masino, protected by the FAI, which dominates the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea from above. Guided tour of the wonderful rooms of the Castle, which has belonged to the Valperga family since its origins.

Free lunch at the on-site bistro.

In the afternoon, walk in the park, which preserves the Italian and English gardens, as well as the labyrinth, the vineyard and the "Road of 22 turns" which descends towards the woods.

At the end, visit the adjacent Carriage Museum.
