The Tour will take you to discover the tradition of hat making in the verdant Valle Cervo, famous since 1700 for the artisanal making of felt hats; art transmitted to generations of master hatters and specialized workers.
In the morning you will be accompanied by a guide on a timeless visit, inside the historic Cappellificio Cervo, an important nineteenth-century factory, where you can admire the wonderful original machinery from the early 1900s.
The company has an archive that boasts over 656 wooden and 431 metal hat forms and currently continues with its historic activity, creating exclusive creations for the major international luxury brands.
The light lunch will await you a few minutes away in a typical restaurant along the Cervo stream, which has its roots in 1900, where you will taste its specialty, the trout raised in hatcheries, that have been active for more than a century and you will savor the quiet of these places.
In the afternoon the tour will continue towards the town of Miagliano, at the premises of the former Lanificio Botto, today a place of rebirth of the wool supply chain and a place of art, where you can make small wool hats yourself to make key rings;
This way you will have your personalized memory of a wonderful day. At the end of the day we recommend a stop in Biella to taste the famous Menabrea beers and the original Botalla cheeses, at the MeBo Experience, with the possibility of visiting the MeBo Museum, inside which there is a shop for purchasing of their products.
