A LAKE, A MORAINE HILL AND A SUBMERGED PILE DWELLING
Discovering Prehistory and Biella's Nature: aboard a boat on the lake, walking along Europe's longest “Serra Morenica”, having lunch in the restaurant of one of Italy's oldest and most beautiful Golf courses and tasting a fish menu on a terrace overlooking the lake and mountains.
PROGRAMME
3 days/2 nights
1st Day
Arrival in Magnano by your own cars and entry to Golf Hotel Le Betulle.
Set in a very special environment with the longest moraine hill in Europe called “Serra”, the Golf Club was recognised in 2013 as the best golf club in Italy and has been in the top three positions for many years now.
You will have lunch at the Golf Club restaurant overlooking the first few holes, while waiting for the afternoon walk with your hiking guide.
At the end of the walk, free transfer to the Hotel Marina, overlooking Viverone Lake. Check-in and dinner with a view of the sunset over the lake.
Overnight stay at the Hotel.
2nd Day
After breakfast, time available for relaxation or for strolling along the lakeshore, while waiting for boarding the boat for a navigation to explore the lake.
Visit to the Pile dwelling site, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Here, a few meters below the water level, the remains of about 5000 poles driven into the ground have been extraordinarily preserved. They are an evidence of an ancient pile dwelling village dating back to the Bronze Age.
Lunch at the hotel; in the afternoon visit to a nearby winery and tasting of the local white wine, “Erbaluce di Caluso”.
Return to the hotel in time for an aperitif, dinner and overnight stay.
3rd Day
After breakfast, free morning to discover the lake surroundings by your own. Before lunch and the return trip, you will have the chance for shopping and find some local products.
Rate per person (minimum 8 persons): starting from € 350,00 per person.
Single room supplement: € 44,00 per person.
The traveller will be informed 7 days before departure whether or not the minimum number of participants has been reached.
