The company was founded in the 1970s with the name "Giuseppe Di Rovasenda" and continues in the second generation with his daughter Maria Di Rovasenda Biandrate. The interest in natural agriculture and the protection of the territory begins in 2008, and materializes, over time, by allocating all the company plots to organic cultivation, and by completing in 2019 the certified BIO brand supply chain of which the entire harvest can boast . The Di Rovasenda Biandrate Maria agricultural company has a managed area of ​​approximately 89 hectares, mainly for rice cultivation and is largely surrounded by woods. Over the years the company has been involved in various ministerial projects, university research and interesting collaborations useful for the exchange of technical knowledge. Through this commitment and involvement also towards the outside, the desire to extend and promote the diffusion of the organic method has developed over time. This led to active collaboration in the creation and establishment, in 2021, of the first Piedmontese rice BioDistrict, which involves approximately 700 hectares of organic plots managed by farmers sensitive to the protection and safeguarding of the Baraggia territory. In addition to the spaces purely for agricultural use, a small "peasant museum" preserves ancient rural tools and welcomes visitors interested in the knowledge and transformation of rural culture over time. Since 2015, a packaging laboratory has been active, with an adjoining company shop, where you can purchase quality organic products, including those of excellence with the recognition of the DOP brand of Baraggia Biellese and Vercellese.
